Take a break from your desk this holiday and enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends.

We will be spending this turkey day enjoying the traditional feast with our loved ones and hope you will be doing the same. As we reflect what we are thankful for this year, we would like to extend our gratitude towards our loyal clients, friends and family who have always been there. Kipper Insurance Agency is a family-owned business that has been successfully providing insurance needs to both California and Nevada residents since 1987.
As an insurance agency, we want you to not only fill your tummies on Thursday, but to practice a safe Thanksgiving holiday.
Traveling
Ensure safe travels by paying attention on the road. Put your cell phone away and eyes on the road. After drinking a few pumpkin cocktails, sit back and relax. Don't be in a hurry to drive back home. If you are planning on indulging in more than just a few cocktails, designate a driver or ask your family member if you can stay the night.
Turkey Preparation
If you are the lucky one who is preparing the turkey this year, make sure you follow basic health practices. While washing, stuffing and seasoning your turkey, do your best to not cross-contaminate the raw meat. Once the bird is ready, cook the turkey to a minimum of 165 °F as measured with a food thermometer. This will ensure none of your Thanksgiving guests will become sick with a turkey food poisoning.
Indulgence
It's a known fact that turkey makes us sleepy, very sleepy. Eating extra large amounts of turkey, along with stuffing, cranberries, and pumpkin pie, makes for a very full and tired human. Once again, don't rush out the door and head home after feasting. Make yourself a cup of coffee or juice and allow your motor skills to wake back up before driving home.
Kipper Insurance Agency wishes you and yours a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
